Stock Tracker is a stock and expiry tracking app for Android, published by Jake Hurt, trading as Chiibi, in the United Kingdom.
This policy explains what the app does with your information. The short version: it doesn't collect any.
Stock Tracker has no servers, no accounts and no analytics. Everything you enter stays on your device. Nothing is transmitted to us or to anyone else, because there is nowhere for it to be transmitted to.
Everything you enter is saved in a database file inside the app's own private storage on your device. That includes:
This data is readable only by Stock Tracker. Other apps on your device cannot access it.
Camera. Used only to read barcodes when you open the Scan screen. The camera view is processed on your device to detect a barcode. No image is saved, and no image is transmitted. The camera is only active while the Scan screen is open.
Photos. If you add a photo to an item, it is stored on your device and referenced by the app. Photos are not uploaded anywhere.
You can withdraw either permission at any time in Android's Settings. The rest of the app will continue to work; only the affected feature will stop.
Your data stays on your device until you remove it.
app. Uninstalling removes the database completely.
Because we never receive your data, there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf, and no backup of it exists anywhere else. **If you uninstall the app without exporting your data, it is gone permanently.**
Stock Tracker is a tool for workplace stock control. It is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Data protection law gives you rights over personal data an organisation holds about you — to access it, correct it, or have it erased. We hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to disclose, correct or erase. The data in the app is already entirely under your control on your own device.
If the app changes in a way that affects this policy — for example if a future version adds optional cloud sync — this page will be updated before that version is released, and the date at the top will change. Any feature that sends data off your device would be something you choose to turn on, not something switched on for you.
